Converting Water into Fuel

leave a comment

Converting Water into Fuel has been a practice utilized for hundreds of years. The First water powered engine was supposedly invented in the early seventeenth century. Then there was the steam engine which was used in steamboats which was build and aimed at Converting Water into Fuel. As Time progressed, Converting Water into Fuel became and continues to become a more common practice.

Presently there are many ways of Converting Water into Fuel. The most common is the electricity generation done at damns which harness the power of moving water by running the water through turbines which conduct electricity. On a much smaller level of Converting Water into Fuel there is the automotive engine. Although the automotive engine has predominately been one that has run of fossil fuels, the increases in costs, environmental effects of fossil fuels, and lack of supply has lead others to seek out newer and better forms of these fuels. Converting Water into Fuel is exactly what people have turned to. New engines in certain cars have been engineered to either completely or partially run on water by separating the water into its basic compounds of oxygen and hydrogen and running on those. Converting Water into fuel takes not much more than simple heat. As water is heated, the oxygen and hydrogen molecules which make up water are broken into their original and basic forms. In this way Converting Water into Fuel is simple and the technology should be fully taken advantage of in new future models of cars.

In a world where Fossil Fuels are becoming scarce, it is imperative to utilize all the types of alternative energy. Converting Water into fuel is of course one of the many ways to do this and get away for the environmentally harmful fossil fuels that is being used today. Converting Water into Fuel is a great way for a much cleaner and healthier future. The best thing one could do is invest in a hybrid or water powered car. So dump that gas and pick up a environmentally friendly car.

leave a comment

Ever heard of a car that could not only run on the ground but could enable its passengers to travel through water? Yes? Well, how about a Land Rover vehicle that could cross through smooth roads, rough terrain, and, now, bodies of water? Impossible?
Not quite. There is a Land Rover vehicle that can be driven on various types of terrain but could also travel through water. How? This vehicle can flat. And it has just recently completed and gone through a journey that took sixty miles on the waters of the Caledonian Canal. This Land Rover vehicle is the Land Rover Defender 90.

The Land Rover Defender 90 is actually an amphibian vehicle. It has been created back in the year 1988 when Land Rover was actually a sponsor to the Cowes week which was a festival of yachts. The vehicle sure has a unique property of being able to tread on both land and water so it has remained in an exhibit in a museum, the Heritage Motor Center, for the past years. This museum is located in Warwickshire in UK. It has only been allowed to travel and show to the world that it can live up to what it has been made for. However, it had to undergo a complete restoration so as to prepare for the whole voyage, which, of course, turned out to be quite a success. And behind the wheel where several staff from the Land Rover’s United Kingdom arm.

The Land Rover mechanical engine parts of the vehicle were kept away from being destroyed by the water through a strong seal. The whole team made sure that the Land Rover Defender 90’s engine was waterproof. And to help the whole vehicle float, it had to make use of large buoyancy drums, or else, everybody would have to search for this vehicle underwater. Aside from the engine, the doors were also sealed and were surely sealed tight. After all, the doors of the vehicle were below water level during the whole trip.
