Even before, it was expected that the Jeep will encounter mud, rocks and other harsh elements which may harm the vehicle. Even if Jeep vehicles are made to withstand these elements, at some point they will cause some damage to the vehicle. One of the most vulnerable component would be the the front part of the Jeep, since it will get the initial encounter. This may cause some internal problem because the main components of a car like the engine, are mostly located in front. A Jeep’s body is especially made to bear some external beatings it may encounter during rough drives outdoors. That is why aside from the tough body, Jeep has come up with numerous car parts that will enhance the performance of a car.

A good example is the Jeep header panel. This particular component is actually less exposed and noticed because most of the time it is concealed by the other elements installed to it. The Jeep header panel is the front bodywork which holds the grille, the headlights and the corner lights. Its functionality add some style as well. In fact, whenever the front components are modified, the header panel would likely to be replaced to suit transformation.

As mentioned before, the Jeep header panel holds some of the important front elements of a car, like the grille, which allows air to flow over the radiator and cool the engine compartment. The header panel also hold parts of automotive lighting system. The headlights which are very important especially when driving in a dark road. They help drivers see what is ahead of them to avoid accidents. Headlights would be especially helpful for Jeep drivers, since they are more inclined to travel on various terrains. Without the Jeep header panel, it is likely that all these elements to fall off even without any collisions.

Audi Cars, First to Wear LED Lights

leave a comment

The Audi R8 will be the first car to wear LED headlights as an option, edmunds. com reports. The German automaker will be featuring the very first LED headlights on its new car, made in its assembly plant that also makes other quality auto parts like Audi Catalytic Converter. An LED is a semiconductor light source that emits cold light at low voltages.

Audi said, “A special permit from the EU has paved the way for incorporating front-lighting LED technology into series production ahead of schedule. This is because the corresponding EU regulation is not expected to come into force before 2008. ”

The low-beam headlamps which are implemented by semiconductors consist of two LED arrays of four active elements embossed on a free-from reflector. The optical lenses are also given additional two LED chips as well as three LED arrays. LED lights are also known because of its powerful lighting effect that controls both brightness and darkness when the car needs it most.

The high beam headlights were also given four LED arrays. The LED lights can also be used during daytime and the lower edge of the new car received 24 LED array to be used during the day. The PCBs are also handling the LED chips as well as the heat sink. To keep the normal temperature of these LED lights, the car also received blower to cool them down just in case it heats up. All in all, the R8 is set to feature 54 LED lights.

The German auto maker also revealed that in the future, they are planning to combine both LED technology and the innovative semiconductor-driven headlamp technologies to improve the lighting of their cars. They will also add the swiveling headlights to the cars they are making.

The R8 is set to hit showrooms this coming 2008.

LED lights are the latest and most innovative form of headlights these days. They are also known to produce the right amount of lighting using only a few voltages. This only means that you can save more energy if your car has it.

HUMMER LIGHTS

leave a comment

Hummer has developed a passionate fan group because of its unmatched style and capability, and the H3 extends that appeal by making the brand accessible to a broader range of potential owners.

You can take your Hummer’s to another level by upgrading to Hummer HID xenon lights. Just plug your HID lights into place and that’s all there is to it. Hummer HID lights will have your car humming to a different tune after making the simpler conversion. This will increase the visibility of entire road with these Hummer HID xenon lights.

The new HID light technology uses a totally different method of light illumination. The xenon bulbs use the xenon gas in conjunction with two electrodes that charge the gas and thus create the light. New Hummer HID conversion kits are simple to install and come with all of the basic instructions you’ll need to start enjoying things in a new light, both literally and figuratively. Hummer HIDs are great for looks, safety and just look flat out cool during nighttime driving because the light is so easily recognizable when you see it coming down the road.

Hummer lights are usually easy to replace, unless you’ve ran into some sort of wiring nightmare, a short has caused some damage or had a recent fire! Just because some bulbs burnt out doesn’t necessary mean there is a problem; they just burn out over time. However, if you do decide to make the next step in lighting upgrades, new Hummer xenon HID bulbs are a great alternative to the standard lights that come equipped on most of your vehicles.

Critics of compulsory daytime running car lights say that they put more vulnerable road users at risk and increase fuel use and ultimately the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. Most motorcyclist already use their dipped beam headlight during the day to clearly indicate their presence to other drivers, and it is feared that if every vehicle has its lights on this effect may be lost. It is also a concern that pedestrians crossing the road could be masked by the glare of daytime running lights.

So if you are now contemplating driving during the day with your car headlight bulbs or sidelight bulbs on, what is the best way to make sure you get all of the benefits whilst also saving the planet at the same time? The first decision to make is which type of lights you are going to use as your daytime running lights. Are they going to be your dipped beam headlights bulbs or your sidelight bulbs?

If you are thinking of using your dipped beam headlights then you are going to find that you will need to replace them more often, as most standard headlight bulbs only last around 400 hours. You would benefit from switching to long life HID headlight bulbs, which can last for over 2500 hours which is almost three times longer than ordinary halogen bulbs, and consumes 20% less energy.

If you want to save some money in the long, be trendy and just have better light coverage overall try upgrading to Hummer HID bulb kit to complete the finished look of your SUV from top to bottom, inside and out!
